چکیده

abstract We study a generality of an inflationary scenario by integrating the Einstein equations numerically in a plane-symmetric spacetime. We consider the inhomogeneous spacetimes due to (i) localized gravitational waves with a positive cosmological constant Λ, and (ii) an inhomogeneous inflaton field Φ with a potential 1 2 m 2 Φ 2. For the case (i), we find that any initial inhomogeneities are smoothed out even if waves collide, so that we conclude that inhomogeneity due to gravitational waves do not prevent the onset of inflation. As for the case (ii), if the mean value of the inflaton field is initially as large as the condition in an isotropic and homogeneous inflationary model (i.e., the mean value is larger than several times Planck mass), the field is soon homogenized and the universe always evolves into de Sitter spacetime. These support the cosmic no hair conjecture in a planar universe. We also discuss the effects of an additional massless scalar field, which is introduced to set initial data in usual analysis.

A meshless discrete Galerkin method for solving the universe evolution differential equations based on the moving least squares approximation

In terms of observational data, there are some problems in the standard Big Bang cosmological model. Inflation era, early accelerated phase of the evolution of the universe, can successfully solve these problems. The inflation epoch can be explained by scalar inflaton field. The evolution of this field is presented by a non-linear differential equation. This equation is considered in FLRW model...

Interpolating the Stage of Exponential Expansion in the Early Universe - a possible alternative with no reheating

In the standard picture, the inflationary universe is in a supercooled state which ends with a short time, large scale reheating period, after which the universe goes into a radiation dominated stage. An alternative is proposed here in which the radiation energy density smoothly decreases all during an inflation-like stage and with no discontinuity enters the subsequent radiation dominated stag...

Dynamical System Analysis for Inflation with Dissipation

We examine the solutions of the equations of motion for an expanding Universe, taking into account the radiation of the inflaton field energy. We then analyze the question of the generality of inflationary solutions in this more general setting of a dissipative system. We find a surprisingly rich behavior for the solutions of the dynamical system of equations in the presence of dissipational ef...

Dynamics of the Inflationary Era

We live in a very large, very old, and nearly (perhaps exactly) spatially flat universe. The universe we observe is, at least on large scales, remarkably homogeneous and isotropic. These attributes of our universe can be ascribed to a period of very rapid expansion, or inflation, at some time during the very early history of the universe [1]. A sufficiently long epoch of primordial inflation le...
